Ixworth Suffolk Door and Porch Refurbishment
Mr and Mrs Brady, north Leicestershire
When Mr and Mrs Brady moved into their 1950s-built house, a prime candidate for refurbishment was the outdated white uPVC front door, set into a frosted glass porch that imbalanced the look of the house.
“We had moved from a period terraced cottage to a larger, more modern home that still had character, but that door just had to go,” said Mrs Brady.
“We wanted a replacement porch in keeping with our property but also with traditional appeal. We were also looking for something a bit different in that it would become a feature of the property and stand out.
‘We had looked at composites door for their strength and durability, but we also wanted it to look as near as possible to a real wooden door.”
Having contacted another local firm for a quote, but gaining very little in the way of constructive advice, the couple sought help from Magna Windows and really appreciated the care and attention they received throughout the whole selection and installation process.
“They definitely went the extra mile to help us find exactly what we wanted and were very helpful in supporting a look that would work perfectly,” explained Mrs Brady.
After extensive deliberation, they opted for Magna Windows’ ‘Ixworth’ style Suffolk door, which they chose in a bespoke, deep plum-toned finish that adds a really impressive approach to the house. A white woodgrain frame and subtle panels completed a very classy looking installation.
“The work was completed smoothly and efficiently by the installation team, who were always really helpful. It is an amazing transformation that has made such a difference and has attracted many positive comments from neighbours and passers-by."
