Halo Rustique Replacement Conservatory,
Mrs Edgell, east Leicestershire
A tired ‘80’s conservatory with a leaking polycarbonate roof was ripe for a makeover when Melanie Edgell approached Magna Windows for a quote.
“The old conservatory was in a sorry state and flooded every time there was heavy rain. It was also a highly impractical ‘P’ shape that was dreadfully dated and just not in keeping with the house.”
The 1930’s farmworker’s semi demanded a simpler look and having used Magna Windows for uPVC window replacement five years earlier Melanie decided to co-ordinate the look, using tried and trusted installers.
Working closely with the sales and installation team, she decided on a roomy, rectangular construction, using part of the original footings to create a large ‘lean-to’ with a sloping glass roof and French doors out to the garden. Old French doors to the living room and a window in the former dining room were also replaced with two new sets of Frency doors, creating a circular flow of space and adding a stylish family living area.
The conservatory frames were manufactured using Magna Windows’ Halo Rustique profile range, with an Ultraframe roof glazed with Pilkington Active Neutral, self-cleaning glass.
“The new conservatory adds a whole new dimension to my home which I am proud to show off,” said Mrs Edgell. The service I received from Magna Windows was also exemplary, every step of the way and I am delighted with the results, which have added a good deal of value to my home.”
